All iBooks now feature the scrolling Trackpad and Sudden Motion Sensor technologies added to the PowerBook line earlier this year. Memory has been boosted across the iBook line as well.

In the iBook line, the 12-inch model is simply a better machine than the 14-inch version, mainly because of its nicer-looking display and greater portability; the downside, of course, is that it's slower and can't be outfitted with a SuperDrive. Still, it remains a very good value.
Pros: Very good value; adequate memory; trackpad scrolling; AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR now standard.
Cons: No DVD burner, not even as a build-to-order option; loud optical drive.
